Who am I?  A bit about me,,,,

I am Haresh (Harry) Sood,  I come from a humble working class background, and I am very straight talking. I generally find  that I can mostly relate to all of my clients without any pretences for this reason. In my younger years, I studied Law, Politics, Business and Sociology A Levels, and simultaneously worked as a freelance BBC Journalist whist serving as the Equal Opportunities Officer for my students union.  These experiences sparked the desire within me to obtain justice for others, whilst learning the art of good advocacy. I went onto read LL.B (Hon), with Italian at the University of Leicester and Modena, Italy. I then went onto onto study an LL.M in Higher European and International Legal Studies which took me to, Sevilla and Strasbourg Universities through the Erasmus scheme and 15 other countries. The most memorable was Australia, where I did a placement at the Australian Broadcasting Authority. These experiences taught me the skill of good legal research and communication and for this reason, my dissertation was archived for display at the European Court of Human Rights Library. Since then I have nurtured these skills for all of my clients when I have acted for them. I am a fully qualified Languages Teacher with QTS status and hold an MA in Acting and an MA in Filmmaking with Distinction and work as a Filmmaker also when I am not in the law office.  I am passionate about the direct access scheme and over the years I have engaged in various projects in promoting the scheme, the best of which were the Bar Councils international missions to South Korea and Brazil.  I have also worked for the British Council for Disabled People when they existed and firstly went on to train as a Solicitor, then Solicitor Advocate before becoming a Barrister when I was called in 2009 after qualifying from BPP Law School. Above all, I would like to think I have a good sense of humour, something which is always required I say. I have a lovely chocolate Labrador Pancho and enjoy our walks and runs together.
